Physicians diagnose and treat conditions without surgery although they may need to work closely with surgeons. Diagnosing illnesses starts with a thorough physical examination and may progress to blood and urine testing and beyond that, radiographs or ultrasound. Sometimes the results of one test may lead to another test. We like to try to diagnose and treat conditions without surgery if possible. We also feel itís important to discuss the expectations (possible diseases) of each test.
